The time to blog has finally come, it being nearly two months since we first gathered with family and friends to "raise the tipi" and embark on a new journey into minimalism and environmentalism. Our first two months have seen their ups and downs... from carbon monoxide and tornados to freezing nights and mouse-scapades. Fortunately the learning curve has been pretty sharp and even the rough patches have been just part of the fun. And no difficulty or hardship could take away from the the brilliant star-filled nights, time by the fire with family and friends.... or waking up to a sun-streaked canvas and the quiet singing of the forest. Every day we stop to appreciate the beauty of our home, the land we're so fortunate to live on and give thanks for the many experiences that have colored the past few months of our lives.
