Smokey and I have enjoyed a lovely day at the tipi. The sun woke us up at around 6:30... Casey and our co-worker, Casey Artman, were slow to rise after our late night downtown. Only a cup of hot coffee could lure them out of their bags :) I spent much of the morning after they'd left for work just sitting with my tea, in my sleeping bag in the anti-gravity chair outside quietly watching the sun rise. I spent some time reflecting, thinking, breathing, listening, watching... Dozed off for a bit and woke to a warm late morning breeze, the sunlight dancing on my cheeks. The buzzards have been soaring above, floating on the incredible spring breeze.
What a long winter we went through... despite the inefficiencies of our wood stove and the oppressive lack of sunlight here on the north slope of the woods... we're sad to see the winter go :) No more huddling up by the fire with our puffy coats on, basking in the steam of hot coffee, and making up excuses not to take a shower :) haha. Yeah we're crazy.
Lots of changes are still underway for Casey and me.... new job, internships, possibly moving the tipi. There goes the buzzard again.
