Our work was certainly cut out for us back home in the ever conservative Southeast. Before getting started on the logistics our first task would be explaining to everyone and their mom why in the world we wanted to live in a tipi and how the heck were we gonna make it work. Questions like, "but why a tipi!?" and "how will you go to the bathroom??" and "what about the cold??" came flooding in from all directions. And, unfortunately, we didn't have any really good answers. All we knew was that this was a dream we were going to make into a reality... some way... somehow. And if it didn't end up working out.... oh well that's what life's all about!! :)
